First we wish to thank all of our customers for a tremendous 2024. As we emerged from the Covid years and got our feet back under us, we have certainly learned a lot about perseverance!
Moving into 2025, we have made ONE pretty large change in our operations. As we evaluated where we spent our resources and where we were best at what we do, we determined managing the hundreds of individual customers had become daunting and challenging. Our administrative systems and personnel really weren't set up or idea for tackling the dozens of phone calls and emails we got each day and we recognized that we weren't serving our customers in the best way by selling direct.
So, the big change for 2025 is that we have moved to selling our products through our Dealer base only. Currently, that base is fairly small and we hope to change that and grow our dealer base substantially in 2025. For now, we have one dealer that can provide every product we manufacture, Shop Tools Outlet.
Shop Tools Outlet has common ownership with HMC Industries but maintains their own staff. They have a nice showroom in Des Moines where you can find our products on display alongside many other products both more expensive and less expensive. So it's definitely a great opportunity to compare how our American Made products might stack up against other brands.
Gemplers, Redline Engineering, and Just Gas Tanks, are a few other dealers that you can currently buy some of the HMC product line. And if they don't have the item you want, we encourage you to ask them if you can buy it from them! That will just help us help them grow their commitment to the Made in America HMC Products!
In closing, we know some may be unhappy with this move. But in the end, we truly believe this will be for the benefit of you the consumer, us as a manufacturer, and it helps spread an American Made product line among those smaller family owned equipment dealers across the U.S. and Canada.  So, if you know of a dealer you think would be a good fit for us and our products, we encourage you to mention us to them when you stop in or call them. We will soon have a printable flyer for customers to provide their favorite dealer with the information they need to become a partner...and if they sign up...you're gonna get a great gift from us!

This year has been a challenging year for many of you and for us it's no exception. Covid has had a significant impact on our sales and the Dericho Storm August 10th was devastating to our infrastructure.  We are doing the very best we can, but we have to make some adjustments to our operations.  
Our office hours are now Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9AM to 4PM.  You can always call and leave a message and we will do be sure to return your call the next day.  Wednesdays and Fridays are days we are focused on rebuilding our facilities and managing the circumstances surrounding that.
We continue production of product and we've taken measures to ensure we maintain very strict quality standards; but our volume of production has decreased significantly.  Unfortunately, we have also seen significant cost increases in 2020.  Raw material, powder coating, and utilities have all gone up.  This means we will have a 10-15% price increase November 1.  We will honor any orders placed prior to November 1st at the current price, regardless of delivery.

Today we had a facebook live video that illustrated how we weld the fill necks for our GC Series tanks.  This is a video that we made separate from the live feed which you can see on our Facebook page here.  We've taken an older Miller wire feeder and converted it to hold the fill neck and the 1/4 turn bung in place while we weld the two together with a slow rotation.  Works great and we get a fantastic weld.

Recently we had a customer who wanted to insert the lift flush with his shop floor.  He provided us some great feedback on how he did it and how it worked out.  He built a custom insert pan which we then poured concrete to fit precisely.  The pan even included a floor drain in the event fluids got into the pan or he was going to use the lift to wash and clean his bike. As you can see in the photos, he routed his hose through the floor and attached his control foot valve to the wall.
Since the lift sits about 7 1/2" off the floor, by insetting it to be flush the working height is reduced by the 7 1/2"; however HMC lifts all raise to a impressive 40" so this allows plenty of height when installed flush with the floor.

This particular customer has done a very nice and fair review of our SL-3086 lift and provided several quality photos of him using our lift to service his bikes. We always appreciate customers sharing their thoughts about our products.... especially when they are such a positive review!
