LIFTS FOR A CAUSE
HMC'S WAY OF GIVING BACK
HMC Industries is a young company, but we recognize how fortunate we are to be doing what we love; building great products for our fellow service techs and motorcycle owners. We've decided we wanted to come up with a way to help out those less fortunate; those struggling with either medical conditions, trauma, or just flat out bad luck. So we've started our donation program in 2016 called Lifts for a Cause. Here we will choose a few select charities which we will donate a specially designed lift to them to raise funds for their group.
To be considered here are some requirements:

- 95% or more of all funds raised must go directly to beneficiaries in need
- You must have a non-profit ID status
- Organizations can only receive 1 Lift per year
- HMC determines which lift and how it is designed
- Organizations must have some relationship to the motorcycle, atv/utv, or zero turn industry or show how their members/followers could benefit from a donated motorcycle lift, atv lift, utv lift, zero turn lift, or golf cart lift.
- Events must be scheduled a minimum of 3 months in advance to be considered. We simply need enough time to build and customize the donation.

2017 Awarded Organization:
In honor of those fallen heroes, HMC has chosen Thank The Seals as the 2017 recipient of our Lifts for a Cause donation. Todd and Angie met the courageous and hard working volunteers of this great organization when they stopped in to Big Barn Harley Davidson's Open House & Swap Meet in the Spring of 2017. Todd and Angie were so impressed with this group's mission and purpose, Todd immediately knew they were the deserving group of HMC's lift donation. Thank The Seals selects two families who have lost a loved one while that person was serving our country on active duty. These fallen heroes have made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us so that we can live in a country to ride motorcycles and live with freedom and liberty. Thank The Seals promote a motorcycle ride from Bettendorf, Iowa to Des Moines with a dinner and gala following. They donate 100% of the proceeds raised to the two families selected each year. This year's recipients are the families of Aaron Carson Vaughn, Special Warfare Operations Chief who died while serving in 2011 and LTC Rob Baldwin who died in 2010 while serving alongside several other military and civilian heroes.
